TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test):Tamil Nadu

This exam is conducted by Anna University for admission to M.Tech and other PG courses in its affiliated colleges. 

APPLICATION FORM

Candidates should submit separate application for each category as given below.
1. GATE Categorya. GATE (Engineering / Technology) category: Candidates who have a valid GATE
2012 score with qualifying marks for assistantship in the appropriate discipline ofEngineering / Technology.b. GATE (Engineering Science (XE) / Life Science (XL) category: Candidates who
have a valid GATE 2012 score with qualifying marks for assistantship in EngineeringScience (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers. Candidates should have also appeared forTANCET 2012 conducted by Anna University.2. Non-GATE category: (TANCET 2012 score only) Candidates who have appeared for
TANCET 2012.3. Sponsored category: (with TANCET 2012 score) Admission only for University
Departments of Anna University, Chennai-25.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who have passed all the subjects in the recognised Bachelor’s degree or

equivalent and obtained atleast 50 % ( 45 % in the case of candidates belonging to

reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

i. with TANCET 2012 score (or)

ii. with valid GATE 2012 score with qualifying marks prescribed for assistantship in the

appropriate discipline of Engineering / Technology (or)

iii. with valid GATE 2012 score with qualifying marks prescribed for assistantship in

Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers along with TANCET 2012

score shall be considered for admission to M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. degree

programmes.

Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) Karnataka:

This exam is conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) ,Kuvempu University for admission to M.Tech and other PG courses in its affiliated colleges. 
Guidelines:
1)Anybody with valid Gate score can Apply and will be given first prefernce over PGCET canditates

2)Ranklist will be prepared based on Gate score(ex; A person with 3000 AIR will be given a 1st Rank if he has the highest score among all gate applicants )

3)Gate Canditates will be allowed to choose seats first irrespective of the state and the left over seats will be chosen pgcet exam topper's as per merit list:so Gate canditates will be given first choice(ex;A gate qualified and is lowest among all gate applicants of pgcet will be asked to choose seat and then the topper of the pgcet exam)

5) Base on my prior experience an AIR of 3000 should be in top 50 of pgcet ranking
